To be honest: we've been hiding here in our house and felt everything was too much. We needed a bit pure family time and not so much socializing. That included the blog life, too I think. We spent time together at home, had some crafty project and were also idling along reading, cuddling, napping, cooking and going for walks.
The house shall be prepared for fall and the upcoming season within the next months but I am a bit reluctant this year to let the Orange in and prefer to have it more neutral. There is so much colour in front of our house with all the trees that we keep it lighter inside.
The summer things have been tucked away and we already had the crazy shopping-for-winter-and-fall-for-three-fast-growing-children-tour! It always takes my breath away each and every year!
The lazy old dog is doing what he always does: just watching the scene. Here from the top of the stairs, thinking twice if he should make the effort of going downstairs because ii is still not clear of the other family members just changed floors or are REALLY preparing to go outside. Nowadays at his age he has to think twice before moving a paw...
And guess what: they really seam to just wander around the house without any sign of going for a walk so a long yawn was the comment:
I am also going through our pictures. before the move I want to decide how to store them. i mean the REAL paper ones, not the digital ones. We have a lot of them in albums and they take a lot of space. Some are in boxes and some in their envelopes. We love to sit and look at them from time to time so putting them in envies and boxes would be handy to take some out and look at them somewhere else. I am thinking of putting them all in lovely envelopes and in boxes and stack them up neatly. Any ideas how to handle these vast amounts of pictures besides putting them in albums???
Looking forward to hearing some ideas and solutions!
Yvonne
You can always gather a few wine crates and store your pictures there according to moments in your life... I love wine crates and i love to see my pictures in my hands too... so this was an idea! Why not painting one side of the wine crate with chalkboard paint and ask your kids to write on them "memories from our family"? :) Have a great day Yvonne! Hugs, Twiggs

This is a wonderful idea! I already have some wine crates! I think I should try this and when the envies are dustcovered and the colours faded or some of them are too loved and used I can easily change them. And I like your idea of creating little collections of moments of our life together so we can group and regroup them all the time. Thank you so much for fueing my imagination and for passing by!

Hey hey, I see places good enough for a cat to hide in ;) No, seriously, that picture wall is kind of amazing, it totally made me want a new photo printer (my current one is slightly handicapped and doesn't look like it's going to recover) - and those wine crates are a neat idea, too - I've been wanting some for ages but they're hard to get here in the North (a salesperson at a local wine store told me u could get those for a euro in BW).
And btw, your house is perfect, as usual. Its high grades of perfection made me buy some mushrooms at Nanu Nana today!
Greetings,
Fr.Mayer + slightly rude cat

Alina, I get the wine crates sometimes at Andronaco next to IKEA in Moorfleet but hearing your suggestions about BW I am thinking of contacting my old customers in Konstanz who are wine dealers if they can manage and get some for me (of my fave local supermarket here, hehe). Sorry for urging you to buy mushrooms at Nanu Nana!
The children still speak highly of the cat so no worries!
See you soon in H!

Yvonne, no need to be sorry bout those mushrooms, they're adorable and happened to be rather cheap (I've posted a pic). In case you really manage to lay your hands on some BW-wine crates, I'd love to join (in case it's possible, of course). Guess I'll have to check out that Kusmic supermarket one day, it does sound very promising!

Yvonne, thank you for visiting my space. Let me just say I am in LOVE with your dog. What a sweetie. I keep showing his picture to my cat to let her know that if she is not good she could easily be replaced :) Hope you are having a great weekend. I am actually knitting socks - can't believe I found time to pick up my needles.

Hey outstanding website! Does running a blog like this take a lot of work? I've absolutely no expertise in coding but I had been hoping to start my own blog in the near future. Anyways, if you have any recommendations or techniques for new blog owners please share. I understand this is off topic nevertheless I just wanted to ask. Thanks!
