So this is definitely necessary! The hard and long winter killed nearly all of our grass and we have a hard time getting back green patches. And to be honest: The lawn is not that big and is honestly not useful for soccer events. Croquet yes, but that's it. So we decided to make a little themed garden and add three new beds of plants: the shadowy garden with a lot of Hosta and Buxus and Hydrangea underneath the tree, a little japanese corner with acorns and gravel and a garden with berries, zucchinis, rhubarb and herbs. So we started this a few weeks ago and it is growing already. I just have to add some items and plant all the small buxus to make a natural fence for each new bed.
So you now know what we'll be doing tommorrow if the weather allows it. And to make it much more pleasant we will add a picnic with tramezzini, cake, fruits and drinks...
So what are you up to for pentecoast?
Have a wonderful prolonged week end!

I am sure we will take a tour to Leman's lake, it's a wonderful and sunny day here :)
BTW, Do you like pruning hydrangeas?

Ella, no picnic today because of bad weather.... But we will do it another day, for sure!
Eva, yes I did some pruning last summer and they came out fine. Don't know if they will bloom this year but the foliage looks already lovely - I am always amazed at how fast they grow!
