that is what happens apparently after reading too much Friday Night Knitting club
I also had to start a major project before reading the sequel. And here we go: two new starts. I've been wanting to make a Babette blanket for years now and I really don't know what kept me from starting one (three children, several moves and living in a warm weather zone cannot be the answer...). And because I am prone to overloading myself with projects I had three starts in one week: two afghans and one workshop online.
And to my surprise the three of them get are coming along nicely - even together.
The first afghan will be the bright springy one for the garden, made of cotton yarn in ice cream colours.
I would never have thought how easily and quickly it could be crocheted once you got the idea of the pattern. Ad you might want to ask about the dangling threads: after crocheting four or five pieces I keep track of working on them so I won't collapse when I finally have crocheted one hundred or so.
The second one will be made for the bedroom/library/TV-room and I will stay within the given colour scheme of this room.
And to be honest: it was so nice and cozy to sit in a comfy chair, watching the Jane Austen Book Club on dvd, having a strong pot of Assam tea next to me (no husband unfortunately - he was travelling again) and crocheting with the finest Debbie Bliss Cashmero Aran wool. So domestic bliss is it- isn't it? the only thing that was missing was a friend for sharing maybe.
I love both color schemes! I love crochet, too!
